New parking system for the Alrijne Hospital Leiden

Parking is from now on future-proof, hospitable for users and user-friendly for the manager.

XPark has equipped the parking garage of Alrijne Zorggroep at Houtlaan in Leiden with its smart parking solution. This replaced the old parking system. The new parking system will be live as of November 11, 2020!

Outdated

Alrijne has a parking garage with 150 spaces. The old parking system was outdated, cost the reception a lot of time, had regular malfunctions and in terms of functionality no longer met Alrijne’s current wishes and standards. The desire was to replace the old parking system for a modern parking system that regulates parking in the parking garage carefree and silently and which also offers a reservation system.

Modern

The new parking solution facilitates different user groups such as patients, visitors and employees. Through the implementation of license plate recognition, employees of Alrijne Zorggroep, patients, visitors and even short-term parkers can drive in and out of the parking garage. No more hassle with tickets, passes or drops. In addition to the possibility of driving in and out using card and token recognition, the replacement of the parking installation brings a number of other advantages:

Two pay machines allow people to pay for parking in advance. Because it was difficult to comply with the corona rules (e.g. 1.5 m distance) at the old locations of the pay machines, Alrijne Zorggroep asked Xpark to place the pay machines at a new location.

The parking facility at Houtlaan in Leiden is laid out with an entrance and exit separated by a traffic island. Xpark extended the existing traffic island, improving the approach route.

XPark’s user-friendly cloud-based web application provides an efficient management system and real-time insight into parking movements in the parking garage.
XPark supports Alrijne in a user-friendly and efficient manner in its parking management, whereby different user groups can also be served. Being able to reserve parking spaces is of course one of the basic functionalities.
This also creates extra hospitality for all parkers.
