XPark has equipped the multi-tenant office building White Point, located at Laarderhoogtweg in Amsterdam, with its smart parking solution. This solution has relieved property manager MVGM, investment manager Syntrus Achmea Real Estate and White Point’s tenants of their parking problems.

Given the existing parking problems, there was a high degree of urgency. XPark delivered the system within a two-week time frame after signing off. The onboarding process was also taken care of quickly: the system could be used properly by everyone immediately.

XPark works entirely on the basis of license plate recognition instead of tickets, passes or drops. This provides an accelerated adjustment process for administrators and a smooth entrance for parkers.

Each tenant in the White Point office building manages its own parking spaces, including spaces for management, visitors and suppliers. Management is done through a web-based cloud application. This allows users to manage their parking spaces from any web-connected device via a web browser such as Google Chrome. For example, a smartphone, tablet, PC, laptop. Thus, no software needs to be installed.

We asked Evert-Jan Burggraaf of MVGM some questions about the choice for XPark

  1. What problems were you running into in your parking situation before the advent of XPark?
Before the installation of XPark, there was a parking system that gave a lot of failures and that tenants and users had a lot of complaints about.
  2. What was the deciding factor in choosing for XPark?
XPark showed from the beginning that proper implementation and user comfort with the system was important to them. That gave us a lot of comfort. In addition, they were able to install a new system in a short time to eliminate the problems we were running into.
  3. How did you like the first few months with XPark and in what ways have things improved now compared to the past?
The first few months have gone well. Whereas in the past we were regularly solving problems with access and handling complaints, now we no longer have to worry about the parking system. More importantly, users also indicate that they are happy with the way in which they can now implement their parking policy. They are now truly in charge when it comes to how they use their rented parking spaces.
  4. How would you characterize Xpark’s approach and/or course of action?
Short on time with a lot of focus on proper implementation.
  5. Would you recommend XPark to other property owners or management parties and why?
XPark is a parking system where owners/managers and tenants together can ensure good access for visitors and employees. Keeping the tenant is in control of its own data.
